The six reasons why technicians want to work on the Campus

In his Campus blog, Henk van Houten recently said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” And that's exactly what we’re doing here, on the smartest square kilometre in the Netherlands. Together with about 10,000 brilliant technical experts, we work here every day on breakthrough technologies and products that take the world further.

The huge turnout during our first edition of BoostIQ, the Campus Career Event, shows that the news of success spreads like wildfire. More than 400 graduates and science professionals from home and abroad visited the largest high-tech career event in the Netherlands. Why? Well, we asked them.

The six reasons why technicians want to work on the Campus:

1. Technical Valhalla

10,000 science professionals: researchers, developers and entrepreneurs. An international high-tech community of like-minded people with a very positive vibe. Optimal inspiration for your work. All lab equipment that you can wish for. Excellent facilities ‘away from work’: good restaurants, shops, hairdressers, wellness centres, outdoor sports fields, childcare centres: you name it.

2. Pocket-sized World

More than 85 nationalities. The Campus opens up a whole new world for you. There is no other place where you will find so many cultures working together. Technical professionals from around the world gather in the new Silicon Valley to work on tomorrow’s technologies and products.

3. Unbounded Challenge

The level is very high. The ambition possibly even higher. Companies and research institutes such as NXP, Philips, ASML, Holst Centre, IBM, Intel, and ABB play in the World League. In addition, we have a growing legion of start-ups. These moonshot thinkers create innovative products and applications that will change the world permanently.
