Back-to-work scenario: these are the High Tech Campus corona measures (May 26)
May 14, 2020 12:01:53 PM. By: Ingelou Stol
The health and safety of our High Tech Campus residents and visitors is our main priority. That is why we are working on a back-to-work scenario, to make the Campus safely accessible in our new 1.5 meter society. We take the advice of the RIVM very seriously and that's why this blog is continuously being updated. Please respect your own company policy when you're allowed to return to work.
Basis rules of the RIVM during the covid-19 crisis:
Keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters.
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for 20 seconds, then dry your hands thoroughly.
Use paper towels.
Don't shake hands.
Cough or sneeze in your elbow.
Work from home if possible.
Only use public transport if necessary. As of June 1, wearing a non-medical mask is mandatory in public transport.
In case of a fever, sore throat or runny nose, please stay at home. If you have a fever and/or are you short of breath? Then your roommates have to stay at home too. An exception to the rule are people who work in crucial professions.
Try to travel outside rush hours
Keep right (at the stairs, when walking at The Strip etc)
If you would like to use an elevator, please pay attention to the signing how many people are allowed in the elevator
The same goes for the toilets. Please pay attention to the signing how many people are allowed in the toilets
Use your own tools and don't borrow cell phones
Communicate by phone, tablet or computer where possible
Don't take a break with everyone at the same time
Avoid crowded places
Please follow the rules as indicated per location (restaurants, supermarket).
What measures will be taken at the High Tech Campus when you return to work?
As High Tech Campus Eindhoven we are doing everything in our power to make it comfortable for our residents to return to work. Below a list of all the measures that are taken at the Campus. We also call on everyone to take their own responsibility to adhere to the basis rules of the RIVM.
The following measures will be implemented on the Campus in the coming weeks. We expect to have everything ready on Monday June 8. Companies of the following buildings will provide their own measures: Philips, Signify, TomTom, TMC, Brunel, NXP, Shimano, NorthC, TWICE and ASML. Please respect your own company policy.
Parking garages If you travel to the Campus by car, you will immediately notice a change in the parking garages. From now on you can only go down with the stairwell or elevator (with a maximum of 2 persons at a time) on one side, and only up with the other staircase or elevator. This is to ensure that we can guarantee 1.5 meters between our residents. There will be warning signs.
Twice a day there will be an extra cleaning round in the parking garages. All touch points (the elevator, elevator buttons, banisters, door handles and trash can lids) will then be disinfected extra.
At the bicycle parking spaces in the garages there will also be an information leaflet.
The Strip (outside) To make sure that Campus residents do not bump into each other at The Strip, we will indicate a walking route how to get from A to B. Try to follow the route and take your own responsibility to make sure you keep 1.5 meters distance between you and another resident.
In addition: keep right (on the stairs, on the Strip etc).
Restaurants At this moment, the following restaurants are open: Brave New World (HTC 5). There are also foodtrucks spread around the Campus, at for example the Food Lab and parking garage P2. More restaurants will open their doors, as the population of the Campus increases. We will spread Campus residents and visitors as much as possible across the Campus, in order to guarantee enough space between everyone.
The restaurants are regularly thoroughly disinfected and cleaned. Each restaurant will have one entrance and one exit. In the restaurant, please follow the route arrows on the floor to find your way. You will find disinfectant to clean your hands. Parts of the tables and chairs are taped, nobody is allowed to sit here. Food is prepacked, and our staff wears gloves where there is direct contact with food. In addition, they wash their hands every 15 minutes. In the restaurants we provide spacious paths and there will be plexiglass at the checkouts.
Our catering facilitator Eurest is also looking for innovative solutions to make our restaurants as comfortable as possible. When the population of the Campus increases, they will also implement two lunch shifts. We will keep you updated about this.
If you don't feel comfortable to visit The Strip for lunch, we can also bring you food! Check our food delivery service. And our catering facilitator Eurest can also deliver special breakfast, lunch and snack boxes to your office. For more info contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The AH to go is closed for now. We will keep you updated when the shop opens, and what the corona measures in the supermarket will be.
Conference Center From the 1st of June you can again organize small meetings in our Conference Center. Including our own staff, we can receive 30 people. From July, we can welcome up to 100 people in our Conference Center.
All measures taken by the Campus are in force at the Conference Center. That means: plexiglass at the reception desk, a maximum number of people in the Conference Center, meeting room setups keeping 1.5 meter distance, clear signing, disinfectant to clean your hands, packaged food and drinks from disposable cups. Twice a day there will be an extra cleaning round. All touch points (the elevator, elevator buttons, banisters, door handles, toilets, trash can lids) will then be disinfected extra.
Multi-tenant buildings The management of the High Tech Campus is responsible for the common areas in our multi-tenant buildings. That's why - with RIVM guidelines in mind - we are taking the following measures:
Disinfectant will be available at every entrance of the buildings, and next to the reception desks
Reception desks will be provided with plexiglass, disinfectant and hygienic wipes. A maximum of two visitors is allowed at the desk. To ensure the 1.5 meter distance between people, there will be clear signing on the floor
Next to the coffee machines of the multi-tenant buildings you will find hygienic wipes
A maximum number of people will be allowed to enter toilets, meeting rooms, the elevator and stairwells. We will clearly indicate this by signing
We will provide the basis rules and guidelines of the RIVM on posters at every entrance
We will indicate walking routes, so you can travel from A to B in a safe way
Twice a day there will be an extra cleaning round in the multi-tenant buildings. All touch points (the elevator, elevator buttons, banisters, door handles, toilets, coffee machines, trash can lids and intercom) will then be disinfected extra
If the emergency response team has to evacuate the building in times of crisis, the 1.5 meters will also be preserved
House installer Strukton always ensures that the climatic installations (ventilation, air filters and air handling units) complies with legal standards. All climate installations are maintained, perform optimal and are technically in order. The air quality is optimal. There is no recirculation of air in the multi-tenant buildings.
At the smoking area's near the buildings outside, there will also be an information leaflet.
Campus Wellness Center Our Campus Wellness Center isn't open yet, but our coaches are doing everything in their power to keep you strongly motivated to exercise. Also High Five has launched a platform with workout videos and if you're a member of our Wellness Center you can also join virtual classes via their app.
Our outdoor sport facilities (cricket field, football field, tennis field and beach volleyball field) are open again. Due to the RIVM guidelines, the dressing rooms are closed. Keep 1.5 meters apart during exercise.
Companies of the following buildings will provide their own measures: Philips, Signify, TomTom, TMC, Brunel, NXP, Shimano, NorthC, TWICE and ASML.
