“To be near Philips”, Huawei will open an office at High Tech Campus Eindhoven later this year. Initially, this office will consist of only a dozen people, but the company is already anticipating growth.

Huawei is a manufacturer of smartphones, tablets, wearables and smart home solutions, with headquarters in Shenzhen, China. Huawei has 16 Research and Development Centres worldwide, in countries such as the United States, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, Russia, India, and China. Huawei employs more than 10,000 people in research and development for consumer products. This is more than 50% of the total workforce of Huawei Consumer BG. After Apple and Samsung, Huawei is the third most-selling smartphone in the world.

Huawei already has a distribution centre in Eindhoven. The company also has branches in Amsterdam and Voorburg in the Netherlands.
