The industry is developing positively. Particularly where it is part of key sectors such as high tech, life sciences & health and agri & food.

Becasue of this industrial employment has undergone a positive development in recent years, particularly in Southeast Brabant, Leiden, "de Bollenstreek" and the Veluwe. Through various developments, the expectation of Bureau Stedelijke Planning is that this development continues to reinforce. This requires high quality industrial premises and business parks, also in the higher categories of environmental pollution.

In the past five years the number of jobs in the industry, in particular, in South-East Brabant (+ 7%). Leiden and "de Bollenstreek" (5%) and the Veluwe (+ 4%). This is connected to the top sectors located here: Eindhoven (High Tech), Leiden and Oegstgeest (Life Sciences & Health) and Wageningen (Agriculture & Food).
