# CUREON is born! Meet the new MedTech & BioTech Innovation Center in building HTC 11

The choice of this location is no coincidence: [Brainport Eindhoven](https://www.linkedin.com/company/brainport-eindhoven/) is the beating heart of healthcare innovation in the Netherlands. More than just providing labs, cleanrooms, and offices, this center connects companies directly to a thriving ecosystem.
The name of the innovation center was unveiled by [Martijn van Gruijthuijsen](https://www.linkedin.com/in/martijn-van-gruijthuijsen-a197284/), Provincial Executive Member of North Brabant for Economy, Knowledge and Talent Development.

CUREON reflects both energy and progress: CURE for healing, and ON for turning innovation, collaboration, and the future of healthcare ON.

The spirit of collaboration was made tangible on stage when [Bart Sanders](https://www.linkedin.com/in/bart-sanders-96a77280/), CEO & Founder of [STENTiT](https://www.linkedin.com/company/stentit/) and [Jan Rietsema](https://www.linkedin.com/in/janrietsema/), Director of [Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC)](https://www.linkedin.com/company/stichting-smart-biomaterials-consortium/) sealed the deal with STENTiT officially becoming the first user of the brand new SBMC cleanroom.
We would like to warmly thank [Naomie Verstraeten](https://www.linkedin.com/in/naomie-verstraeten/) and [Quirine Verstappen](https://www.linkedin.com/in/quirinekroezen/) ([Brainport Development](https://www.linkedin.com/company/brainport-development/)) as well as [Brigit van Dijk - van de Reijt](https://www.linkedin.com/in/brigit-van-dijk-van-de-reijt-aa429388/) ([BOM (Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij)](https://www.linkedin.com/company/brabantse-ontwikkelings-maatschappij-bom-/) for their important role in bringing CUREON to life.
