# Female Tech Heroes Podcast #5 - Neelie Kroes: 'I strongly believe in the female involvement in tech'

Female Tech Heroes is a new initiative, created with the aim of inspiring women to explore the world of technology. Former European Commissioner, Neelie Kroes, was the face of the launch of this new network – a fitting role for a woman who has devoted decades to forging the way for women in business, politics and technology.

Erika van der Merwe, on behalf of Radio4Brainport, spoke to Neelie at the launch of Female Tech Heroes, at the High Tech Campus Eindhoven, in the Netherlands.
